2013
Construction Heliport Platform

In 2013, Tullow Oil plc initiated drilling activities and approached GUM AIR to provide air transportation services to their designated location. Given our strategic location at Gummelsweg, with close proximity to the Hospital and Coast, it presented an ideal opportunity for us to invest in a platform and hangar. Although the drilling campaign was eventually canceled, we had already made significant progress and obtained the necessary operating and technical permits. As a result, we decided to proceed with the construction of the platform.

2015
Construction Hangar 1

In response to the growing demand for operations at our location, we made the strategic decision to construct a second hangar in 2017. Despite the challenging timeline, we efficiently completed the construction, and to our delight, an oilfield service company became our new tenant, promptly occupying the newly built facility.

2017
Construction Hangar 2

In response to the growing demand for operations at our location, we made the strategic decision to construct a second hangar in 2017. 2018
The Story of an Airport

In order to ensure the utmost safety in flight operations, the operating helicopter company made a specific request for a paved take-off area measuring 3000 ft. in length and 18 M in width, albeit without lighting. With the increasing number of flights, reaching a peak of 19 in a single day with 5 helicopters, we faced limitations on the existing apron space. It was during this period that the idea of developing an airport took root. Despite lacking any guaranteed contracts for future airport business, we took a proactive approach
